Official Beer 2011
The Gatineau Festibière chose an IPA style beer to be its first edition official beer. IPA stands for India Pale Ale and reminds us of the industrial revolution’s beginnings. The english pale ales that were exported throughout the world carried India’s name, since India was its principal importer. To maintain its gustatory qualities, the beer had a slightly higher alcohol % as well as an extra dose of hops. Today, our interpretation brings us a beer rich in caramel notes and well balanced with plenty of hops and a flavourful alcohol smoothness. The official brewer for this beer is the microbrewery « du Lièvre, » a master who perfected many deviations on the style.
